Data Entry Locating Activity

In order to track Locator activity, the Data Entry Operator’s Personal Identification Number (PIN) must have the "Locator OPR" privilege set to Y.   This is configured under menu choice 51 (Personal ID’s) in TitleSCAN Data Entry.  Use the Add or Change selections to configure a particular PIN for this activity.

After performing the above setup, log in with that PIN and change the batch ownership of the batch to be located to the locating PIN.  This will be done using menu choices 11 and then 36 (Change Batch Owners).  When this operator then goes into the batch and enters new records with a legal or changes an existing record from NOL to located, it will be logged as a "Locate."

NOTE:  Most operators will have two Personal Identification Numbers.  One will be used for data entry and one will be used for locating documents in existing batches.
